This construction features authentic triple stitched methods for durability.
The leather upper is stitched to the sole, providing out-of-the-box comfort and flexibility without sacrificing stability and support.
The Trailback incorporates underfoot insulation that serves as a barrier to heat loss between the foot and frozen ground.
The Trailback construction features full grain 2.4 mm hard wearing treated leather upper for complete weather proofing.
The leather upper serves also to impede thorns, brambles and other nasty elements from penetrating the boot upper.
The waterproof membrane blocks moisture from the outside, while allowing moisture inside to evaporate.
Our Goodyear welting provides flexibility in the sole, reduces weight, and offers a cork footbed providing good insulation and comfort.
Exceptional design intersects with innovative rubber compounds to create a versatile, performance outsole.
Our “Worker to Walker” Trailback features a Vibram® commando outsole with deep lugs for outstanding traction and high abrasion resistance in any lowland terrain.

My Trailback Crofty's are absolutely amazing...I've just had them back after Sandy arranged for them to be re- soled, they're like new (again!) despite being nearly 4 years old...I swear they're going to last me a lifetime and I'm a heavy user, daily dog walks along the wonderful beaches of Cornwall, often including a paddle in salt water, a hike along the coast path or scrubbed up for a 'posh' do. They are comfortable, durable and stylish in both design and detailing. I love them and having them back again is like being re- united with a long lost friend. I’ve not been kind to these boots at all, and they take it all in their stride. From renovating an overgrown smallholding to working around the world, these are a step ahead of others I’ve had - they’ve got real soul. They’ve been leathered with abuse by the brambles, salt water and rocks, so they’ve got their fair share of wrinkles and scars, but I’ve got to grips with the recommended cream (instead of polish), which works a treat! They aren’t laced with comfort at the start though - took a while for mine to break in as with all proper boots, but stick with it. If you walk outside your house, you can’t put a foot wrong in these.

After purchasing 3 pairs of crofty boot which i must say have been totally abused by me and have excelled in all respects, i have just purchased a pair of Pendeen boots which i am looking forward to receiving.
